Jesse was the second oldest of eight Children and grew up on the South Side.

He was drafted into the Army at the age of 21 and served from 1967 to 1971 with the 173rd Airborne Division. Upon returning to the U.S., Jesse met the love of his life Georgia Mallas, and continued to love and care for her up to the day of her passing.

Jesse loved playing cards with his mother and siblings, and could be found listening to Bob Marley Legend on his record player at any given time. He loved Reggae music and for some reason called it Ryegate.

Jesse always made sure that his mother and father had everything they needed and was willing to take them shopping at a moments notice.

Jesse had one of the hardest shells of anyone, but was an extremely loving and caring man. He always put his family first, and lived a life of honor.
