Barb was one of the people I got to see every year I came home. Her presence at Target was always refreshing because I miss everyone so. I’m glad Barb was at our reunion. She was yet another important friend.

So true, Kim.I had forgotten about Barb being working for Target. She always had a smile.

Barb was what we called a tomboy!  She could wear the short hair so well and she was always good at sports. I remember one time when I was in town, after one of my surgeries, I walked into Target, and she ran up to me and gave me a big hug.  She was almost teary as she said, "I heard you had passed."  We got a laugh out of it.  I  am sorry to hear of her passing and hope she was able to go with that famous smile on her face.

Yes, Barb was a tomboy. I think back to the 6th grade at Rimrock School and sports at recess. Teams were always chosen from our class and Tom Dobbins, Renzy Cushing, Barb Thomas and Nancy Thompson were always picked first.

I became traumatize (lol) in the 6th grade by being picked last every time. One day after I was picked last I pick up a stick and threw it and killed a Meadowlark (State Bird.) Wrong thing to do. The principal was going to call the police and have me arrested. Not only being traumatize I was now going to jail.

The principal never did call the cops but sure scare the hell out of me. The next day Barb came up to me and said she thought I would be good pitcher when we played baseball. I never forgot what she said. She was a class act.

Larry, what a horrible thing for a principal to threaten!

I am very sad to hear about Barbie‘s passing. We sat next to each other at the memorial service at our class reunion. We talked at length at the picnic as well. From what Barbie said, she had had her share of heartaches in life.
Barbie was  a first-class athlete even at grade school at New Rimrock.
She always managed to knock me out first when we played bladderball!

Oh, the tributes to Barbie are funny and sad, I know she has no more heartaches now.
